Great South American Season! What's up for next year?

 

The tour season here in South America has wrapped up for another season. It was DreamSki's 8th season in the southern hemisphere.  It turned out to be a great season with great snow conditions and sunny weather in Chile.  Unfortunately, for our Argentina tours we had to cancel them due to the complications caused by the Chilean volcano eruption back in June.
 

The Snow in Chile is Piling Up!

We are in the heart of the season here in Chile and it is turning into a very spectacular one!  The overall season forecast had said it was to be a dry start with El Niño ending and then a great last half of the ski season with La Niña coming into play.  It looks to be accurate as some areas had a slower start and now the storms are becoming frequent and big!

We all know what has happened to Japan on Friday March 11 and the resulting tragic loss of life and devastation the Japanese people have suffered from the 9.0 earthquake and the resulting tsunami.

 

The Andes: The Best Place to Learn Powder Skiing

For all you skiers who have never tried powder yet or have but with less than becoming results, the Andes and the Andean snow is your dream come true!  It is the best place I have every experienced for introducing people to powder for the first time or for those who have always struggled in it.  The reasons for this are many and form a rare combination unique in skiing that is not found in other areas of the world.
