On our tours you will also discover the incredible wine culture of Argentina. You will sample the best local foods and experience the culture of Argentina through cultural and historical excursions which will allow you to discover more than just the ski areas. Argentina boasts its world famous Tango dancing and its delicious beef...to name just a few!

What you will Experience and Discover
Your Argentina adventure will begin in the southern city of Bariloche, which you will fly into from Buenos Aires to be met by your DreamSki instructor-guides.

We will spend our first days at Cerro Bayo ski area. This mountain (cerro) towers over the famous lake Lago Nahuel Huapi and offers sweeping views of the 100 km long lake. We will get comfortable on our skis, while enjoying the warmth of this friendly and relaxed ski centre while spending our evenings in the charming lakeside classic ski town of Villa la Angostura, located 4 km down from the ski area.

We then travel north through one of the most scenic landscapes in Argentina and Patagonia on our way to Chapelco and the mountain town of San Martin de Los Andes, located on a mountain lake shore. It boasts many fine restaurants and a variety of artisan stores and you will sample the best Argentinean wines at a wine tasting.

Chapelco has wide open bowls and glades. This Patagonian resort offers uncrowded slopes and good opportunity for fresh tracks. This ski area offers magnificent views into the Chilean Andes and it's highest volcano, Volcan Lanin, which has an altitude of 3776 m (12450 ft), and surrounded by forests of the famous Monkey Puzzle tree (Arucarius).

Next we turn south and travel to our most southern point, the town of Esquel and the Ski area called La Hoya. We will follow Che Guevara's motorcycle journey along Route 40, and the tracks of the Old Patagonia Express, Argentina's famous narrow gauge steam train line. En route we stop at the 42nd parallel and the artisan town of El Bolson for a chance to visit the local artisan market.

The town of Esquel is the gateway community for La Hoya ski resort and Parque Nacional Los Alerces. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid moved to the area in 1901 and spent 4 years ranching near the northeast entrance of the park, where their homestead still remains.

We will experience La Hoya's excellent off-piste terrain and cold Patagonian powder. The name derives from the mountain shape, which is a wide circular glacial basin. La Hoya's uncrowded slopes, varied terrain and location in the heart of the Patagonian Andes make it a truly unique Argentine ski destination.

Then we travel back to Bariloche and you will ski the largest ski area in Argentina, Cerro Catedral just outside the vibrant city of Bariloche, with a population of 120,000.

Cerro Catedral includes over 3,000 acres of in-bounds terrain and 39 lifts! The Snow Gods often bless us with deep powder days here. In the evenings, we will take advantage of Bariloche's great nightlife and wealth of restaurants. Argentine wine accompanied by local Patagonian trout, salmon, and the famous beef from the plains of Argentina will tempt your tastebuds. Also there are ample shopping opportunities for high end products from shoes to leather coats.

This tour will have you wanting to stay, from the food to the Andean snow and scenery. Argentina is a beautiful and unique place that can not be compared to other ski and travel experiences!
